After a long 6 and a half months, it is truly great to have NFL football back. With the exception of a large number of kickers forgetting how to kick, Week 1 was an overall success with many great games and performances. Heading into Week 2, this can be the week where we see some key potential title Super Bowl contenders mesh and start playing dominant/winning football, most notably the Dallas Cowboys and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The Cowboys and new head coach Mike McCarthy are set to face the Falcons in their home opener on Sunday. The Cowboys are entering this matchup at around four-point favorites led by their 1-2 punch of QB Dak Prescott [O/U 299.5 Passing Yards] & RB Ezekiel Elliot [O/U 0.5 Rushing Touchdowns], Dallas will need their offensive stars to play big if they want a win. On the other hand, in 12 years as the Atlanta Falcons starting QB, Matt Ryan [O/U 305.5 Passing Yards] has never led the Falcons to an 0-2 start to the season. Ryan is now supported by All-Pro RB Todd Gurley [O/U 60.5 Rushing Yards] who put up 56 yards on 14 carries in a Week 1 loss to the Seahawks.

Similarly to the Cowboys who entered the year with deep expectations and did not play to their potential are the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Bucs had a tough Week 1 opponent in the New Orleans Saints but are favorites against the Carolina Panthers. Tom Brady [O/U 1.5 Passing Touchdowns] will be making his home debut and after another week of getting acclimated with his receiving core of Mike Evans, Gronk, and Chris Godly [O/U 5.5 Receptions], if the Bucs win, expect Brady to play a big part. If Carolina pulls off this upset, it’ll be due to their All-Pro Running Back Run-CMC, Chrisitan McCaffrey [O/U 71.5 Rushing Yards.]

In the other matchups in the 1 PM slot, we see the Green Bay Packers take on the Detroit Lions, with Aaron Rodgers [O/U 0.5 Interceptions] who holds the NFL record for both the lowest interception percentage in a career, at 1.5% as well as, the highest touchdown-to-interception ratio, in 4.33. Also, the Giants take on the Bears, led by Saquon Barkley [0.5 Rushing Touchdowns] who is searching for his first touchdown on the year…

Good job writing them in this blog post
